Request account deletion

Updated 10 October 2026

Tell support what you want deleted. Deleting the whole account shared with SubLearn also removes that sign-in.

To request account or record deletion, check the contact options on the contact page and ask support. A deleted account cannot be restored, so get a copy of anything you want to keep first.

Decide what you want deleted

You use the same sign-in account here and on SubLearn. Say whether you want only MicroJapanese records deleted or the whole shared account.

Deleting the whole shared account removes your ability to sign in to SubLearn with that account too. Ask support first if you are unsure which scope you need. You can also check how to get a copy of your data.

What to tell support

  • The email address on your account.
  • That you want your account or records deleted.
  • Whether the request covers MicroJapanese records or the whole shared account.

Write from your account email if possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Never send your password or confirmation codes.

If you have a paid contract elsewhere

Account deletion, cancelling a paid contract and requesting a refund are separate actions. If you bought a contract on another site, check the cancellation steps and refund conditions with the site where you bought it. Do not assume that a deletion request cancels that contract or refunds a payment.

Records and timing

Support will explain the scope and outcome of your request. Payment and tax records may need to be retained by law. Backup copies can remain until the normal backup cycle replaces them. We will explain relevant limits if they apply.

We respond to deletion requests within the time required by applicable law. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, this is normally one month. An extension may be allowed for complex requests, with an explanation. Sending a request does not erase every record immediately.
